Gulliver`s Travels

Lemuel Gulliver's voyages take him to lands where nothing is quite the right size. In Lilliput, he towers over a society of tiny people absorbed in petty wars and politics. In Brobdingnag, he is the small one, surrounded by giants who see human nature all too clearly. Jonathan Swift uses these shifting perspectives to turn an adventure story into a sharp, often funny critique of society - one that has kept readers questioning their own world since it was first published in 1726.
