King Lear

An aging king decides to divide his kingdom among his daughters, rewarding whichever of them can best flatter him. The choice sets off a chain of betrayal and cruelty that strips him of power, sanity and love. Shakespeare's tragedy is a searing look at family, justice and human frailty, as psychologically intense as it is poetically charged.
