Collected here are early Superman stories from the Golden Age, when the Man of Steel was taking shape alongside a nation on the brink of war. These tales mark the first appearances of Daily Planet editor Perry White and archenemy Lex Luthor, two figures who would become permanent fixtures of Superman's world.
