Tarzan of the Apes

Fate deals John and Alice Clayton's infant son an extraordinary hand: orphaned in Africa, he is found and raised by a female ape, growing up wild, resourceful, and known to all as Tarzan - hunter, and protector of the animals and the local tribe around him. That life is upended when a new party of white people arrives, setting in motion a chain of events that will reveal Tarzan's true ancestry and bring him face to face with Jane Porter, the first white woman he has ever seen. What follows is a question as old as it is urgent: does Tarzan belong to the civilisation he was born into, or to the jungle that raised him?
