Classic Stories Hans Christian Andersen Fairy Tales

Hans Christian Andersen is regarded as a national treasure in his native Denmark, and his fairy tales have travelled far beyond it, appearing in hundreds of editions and languages around the world. This collection gathers his best-known stories, works that have inspired countless film adaptations and retellings and helped shape the fairy tale as readers know it today. Andersen counted Charles Dickens among his literary friends, a friendship that speaks to the esteem in which his storytelling was held during his lifetime.
